Thalia

Thalia started her journey as a Guardian, drifting from one place to the next, uncertain and unmotivated with a ferocity that bordered depression.

She found her way to the Aelric clan and, like many others before her, found no reason to leave...and so she stayed. And she watched, and she learned. But so deep into her feelings of being lost, she didn't connect.

Something was different about this clan, though. Something drove her to become frustrated with her inability to connect.

One day, her frustration motivated her to trek into the nearby woods. She thought long and hard during that walk, trying to will her depression away, but only succeeded in frustrating herself further. She had been rooted in these feelings for so long that they'd become who she was, but for the first time, she desired to change who she'd become. Only if she changed everything she knew could she break away from the dark feelings that swirled within her.

The surge of desire was strong, and she grabbed it and held so tightly, she imagined she could physically feel it beneath her claws.

And when she returned from her trek...she returned a Pearlcatcher.

(Thalia is now a priestess of sorts. She believes she was helped during that time in the forest, that something heard her pleas and showed her the way to change. She now spends her time trying to show other members of the clan that if they believe hard enough, anything is possible.)
