Dustwhirl

Dustwhirl is the primary caretaker of the clan's younglings. Once the hatchlings are born, they are moved to her area of the cave, which is located close to the entrance (but not close enough to allow the little ones to venture outside unattended). She watches over them while the parents recover from the nesting, and she also helps teach the young ones to fly and navigate the currents, especially those whose parents have moved on, or who have come from a different lair.

If ever you visit the Aelric Angle Hatchery, Dustwhirl is the one who will greet you.

Fun fact: Dustwhirl was the first, and for a long time, only, Skydancer to come to call the Aelric Angle her home. Many of the younger dragons in the clan had never seen a dragon like her before, and she was regarded as a bit of an oddity until everyone became used to her. She, in turn, became used to answering many questions about her kind, but those questions served equally to make her miss her own kind. Then one day, another Skydancer appeared, seeming to come directly from the sunrise he was colored matched. He called himself Varkas, and they immediately connected. Together, they cared for the hatchlings of the cave and taught them to fly, she with her kindness and empathy, and he with his stern yet kind guidance.

Dustwhirl learned a long while later that the clan leader, Cesiel, had felt how much the Skydancer missed her kind and sent out a request for someone to come and ease her loneliness. Learning that made it easier to understand why Varkas decided it was time for him to move on, as he'd begun to miss the adventure that came with traveling as she had once missed companionship.

Additional Fun fact: Lore-wise, Dustwhirl is one of the eldest dragons in the clan.
