Bolo

-is rarely in the lair, traverses the area between earth and nature where marshes and swamps are abundant
-is usually caked in mud, most are shocked to see his opalesque patches of skin
-he gets defensive and angry when people comment on how beautiful they are
-They don't know that his condition is painful, or that it will eventually overtake him
-he is searching for a cure or way to halt the progression of his ailment
-Kirino, the clan's resident mad scientist has become obsessed with doing just that
-Bolo is tasked with getting the ingredients that Kirino requests for all manner of salves and poultices
-When Kirino introduced Bolo to Gator, the guardian was wary and on edge
-Gator took one look at his skin, looked down at herself, and in a strange, half-artificial voice told him that it looked like it hurt
-he took a liking to her in that moment
-when Kirino told him that she would be Bolo's "assistant", Bolo found himself strangely glad for her company
-Now, he's not sure where he'd be without the sound of her on his journeys- she is both machine and organic, though much more one than the other, and as she moves, that is abundantly clear
- more than once, it was her sensors or her good sense that kept them safe and on the path home
-he is acutely aware of this, and they have built a friendship based on mutual respect
