Biography

Peacekeeper

Cloud Nymph

___________________________________

Peacekeeper #PK030

The Zephyr Steppes is the most peaceful place in all the world. At least until dragons continuing the battles of the gods interrupt that peace, sending new clans diving for cover.

The Windsinger fought as well as any god, after all his battle with the Tidelord created the Stormcatcher, but he also recognized that the other gods were peers and possible friends. That knowledge and a love of the Winds took him away from his realm most the time, leaving it to the dragons forming clans there.

He did occasionally waft through the Windswept Plateau, and one day he witnessed the aftermath of battle that had washed over the Zephyr Steppes: blood staining the bamboo, broken kites, loved ones weeping tears of mourning, and lost spirits of the brave warriors tethered to the battlefield. The howling cries on the wind could not go ignored in what should be a land of joy and merrymaking. He created a mighty tornado that temporary scattered their enemies whilst calling to his warriors and those that had lost so much. Much of the land had larger clans that could defend themselves, and his people were proud to be able to hold their own when battling, but the Zephyr Steppes were a place of peace and playful winds. They were not to be torn and bloodied. The battles should take place among those warriors who chose to face them.

From the spilled blood he created the living essences of the guardians that would protect the lands, from the spirits he implanted their passionate souls and passion to defend, and he coated their hides in the tears that were once shed. The tears crystallized, forming hardened suits of natural armor. Dubbed the Peacekeepers, they became a symbol of hope for the residents of the Steppes. Symbols of despair had been transformed into new life.

The Peacekeepers were recognized by their antique golden wings, symbolizing justice. Their bodies were in the shades of the sky or the colours of the Windsinger. Battles could take place elsewhere, and the new clans in the Zephyr Steppes would grow to strength in safety. The steppes would be protected as the most peaceful place in the all the world. A place where all dragons from all flights were welcome to escape war and discover friendship.

Shields

Seafoam and Pistachio Peacekeepers provide sanctuary. They help refugees find a clan, they provide council and shelter. They sometimes join battle to protect their charges, but most often serve as escorts for journey and translators, friends, and providers, for those who have lost peace in their life.
