Haven is a student of magic, specialising in the breaking of curses. She is talented, but a little lazy, preferring lounging and daydreaming to actual studying, often causing her to feel guilty about neglecting her duties.
Even though she has been with the Exalted, Haven still remains quite childish, even whiny at times. She seems to have gained a certain wisdom, though, and it will shine through in the most unexpected moments.
The hatchling's scales were shimmering in the pale light, but it was not a display of beauty. The colours shifted, sickly, paling and strengthening in turn. The little Guardian mewled in pain, eyes rolling backwards as the strange illness spread. Ilrahin was restless, weaving spell after spell, but apparently it was nothing that could be cured by his Light magic, colours clashing against his whispered prayers.
"What is this devilry?" The nocturne had hissed, harsh words from an undead drake. "Is this some shadebound curse?", he had asked as he called for the clan's oracles, still drawing from his powers to soothe the hatchling's fears and aches.
"Hush, sweetling. I will take away as much of your pain as I can. I will not let you suffer, this is the least I can do..."
+
The oracles were of no comfort, but then again, they never were.
Izkabel only shook her head, eyes dimly glowing under her hood, armour clanking as she turned away.
Selder whispered that this was not all, something was missing, something was still to happen.
Allerseelen regarded the hatchling, then tutted at the healer, declaring that she could not show them the way.
Undrowned considered the squirming young dragon for a long while until she turned towards their high priest, bowing to the Mirror.
"Do you see what I do?" - "There is a chance, yes."
And thus the large Guardian bowed lower still, so she could see eye to eye with the hatchling and gently nudged them with her snout. "Little one, this is your place, and we are your home. If Tidelord wills it, you shall return to us. But for now, we must send you away. This affliction cannot be cured by any of our means. So you must leave and seek shelter under the wings of Him beneath the waves. May He see your kind heart and bless you."

The rite of exaltation was rarely performed on young dragons, rarer still on hatchlings, and the clan gathered as Undrowned chanted and roared, conjuring a current that was slowly but surely tugging the hatchling off their feet.
They were swept away, terrified and in pain still, despite all of the healer's efforts, calling out to the dragons that had cared for them.
Clutching a small, shimmering scale, Ilrahin turned to the council. "I hope you are right. Perhaps I could have done more... may Tidelord have mercy on her."
