He is also another warm-hearted dragon to be around. The Imperial is gentle, caring, and also loves being around hatchlings. Somehow, it's usually him that ends up giving them a fire safety lesson. Surprisingly, Hyotoko is a bit of a romantic.

Even though Hirilorn is in charge of festival bonfires, it's up to the Imperial to maintain the hearths of the lair. His tasks are to ascertain that there is plenty of logs in the pile and ashes are cleared away. Because of this, ashes always linger in his mane and stick to his face. Hyotoko likes to linger around blacksmith shops, even though he has no skill in blacksmithing. He's better at starting small fires and keeping the lair warm. It is uncertain if it his sense of duty to watch over fires or if it is a particular blacksmith that keeps him near...
