Lord of the Shining Court, Tyrian has long been the personal favorite of Those Which Lurk. While ambition and avarice are hallmarks of all the courtiers, Tyrian is not merely consumed by greed, he is defined by it. No longer satisfied with playacting at wealth and power within the shining caverns, Tyrian is determined to escape and return to the surface world. His benefactors, always watching, have encouraged this ambition at every turn, and to simply regain his freedom is no longer enough. Tyrian will live in the sunlight again, and he will rule there, too. He will possess the sunlight. He will consume it. One day, perhaps, he will even come to eclipse it.

★ Recently, Tyrian has grown increasingly distant. He prefers to spend his time away from the court, communing directly with his benefactors and planning his escape. He can't bear to leave them for long; being away fills him with a terrible loneliness... or perhaps it simply reveals a terrible emptiness.




★ In his absence, the courtiers are left in the capable hands of the devoted acolyte Ballouhey- or, more frequently, the rather shaky hands of Tyrian's younger brother, Heliotrope. The courtiers have begun to catch on to Tyrian's plotting, and become restless as their future grows ever more uncertain. 		e5lddht.png
