"quote lorem ipsum dolor sit amet"

Ember has been crafting and creating armor and weapons for the clan since it first began. Attractive and vibrant, many of the clan residents fancied her but she found little time for love in the midst of her work, though the biggest exception to that rule being Yuki. The two coatls grew up together, but were an odd pair, a stereotypical beautiful firey coatl female and a sickly, pale colored ice coatl male. Though Yuki's presence in the clan was considered a bit euphemistic, given the clan was occupied by mostly bright colored coatls, he tended to keep to himself most of the time and with Ember's approval others began to warm up to him as well. And from Ember and Yuki's relationship, Cinderfall, one of the clan's most powerful light mages, was born. Soon after Ember and Yuki's first clutch hatched, Yuki vanished. When asked about it, Ember would simply reply that the two had decided to split and that he had said something about 'returning home', though the only home he ever seemed to know was within the clan.
As the clan began to thrive, Ember was given more reason to work at her forge, and soon with the rapid population growth in the clan, demand of her work grew as well. The coatl never refused a task, though, and often spent days working without sleeping or eating. Her hardwork was admired, but the leaders feared for her wellness and recommended she employ an apprentice. Her daughter eagerly accepted the position and the two began working the clan forge together.
Ember has become much more tentative with her craft now that the clan is a very numerous community, the reason being her frequently acquired injuries and sicknesses while overworking herself. Receiving weaponry or armor from her for free is a great respect, for she now sells her work for high prices. The coatl has mostly given the forge over to her daughter, but refuses to tell others that she's retired. Truth be told, working the forge is quite a chore for her now, for over the years Ember acquired arthritis in her wrists and tail, what she uses most often for her smithing. The clan medic, Dusk, has prescribed her a variety of different herbs and medicines to help treat the pain so that crafting is not as tedidious. Only a few dragons know about her condition, though the physical display of the disease has begun to whiten her feathers a bit. If asked about it, she'll just tell you it's the lighting, or that you should get your eyesight checked.
In Ember's free time she meddles in fire magic--she always has, but recently has taken to advancing her skills further, for the hobby doesn't take as much of a physical toll on her. Some say that the heightening of her magical abilities may have even warmed her heart, for some say to have seen the usually stern and cranky Ember meddling with the clan hatchlings, entertaining them with magical tricks of fire.
One of the biggest clan issues with Ember is mostly claims from others saying that they've seen Yuki in the clan territory, usually just out of sight or seeming to evaporate in air, almost ghost-like. Being that this could be seen as 'suspicious' behavior (and that it has frightened more than a few dragons), the leaders and guards come to her asking if she knows anything about it, given she'd been the only one who actually knew Yuki during his time with the clan. The coatl grows irritated and angry when confronted with these questions, insisting that Yuki is long gone and that there's no reason he would have come back to the clan. Though furious, she sometimes seems a bit melancholy after saying this.
