It was said that when he was first hatched, a bolt of lightning that ever-so-commonly plagued his birth lands had struck the nest and made his veins glow in the way they did. That would've been written off as nonsense in the Lightning Flight, but as a dragon who had spent most of his life in other territories it did sound like something that made sense in theory- so the story stayed.

To verify this hatchday myth is a lifelong dream of his. Resonance is a quiet but decidedly inquisitive dragon, often slipping away to investigate some curious happening and landing himself in trouble in his younger days. He's not young anymore, though; the foolhardy curiosity has been tempered a great deal by experience. Or rather, he doesn't tumble into sticky situations anyone because he's already done that. Now he is mostly content with investigating (and keeping track of, which is his actual job) the new things, new news, and new dragons his Clan's scouts bring in, though now and then he still enjoys disappearing into the wilderness to poke around at things.
In chemistry, resonance or mesomerism is a way of describing delocalized electrons within certain molecules...
