Has ADHD. Gleeful when it comes to rocks. Sassy when faced with opposition. Easily becomes restless and is the perfect example of spirals who tie themselves in knots out of sheer boredom. A little over-zealous when it comes to her rock collection. Homesick.

in the starwood empire life is vastly different--the caverns are a luminous environment lit by their own seductive energy and as capable as shifting and changing as a living organism; to be thrust so quickly from the arcane-fueled tunnels into pendulum's equally dark labyrinth has been a slight culture shock for the spiral. she is not used to having the same extent of freedom as other residents; her mind still stops when she stumbles upon the entrance to the leviathan maze that pendulum calls its lair and home. she hesitates stepping into the sun and struggles to see when light is plentiful. she finds herself still being called home but unable to return in fear that traveling too far from pendulum and the symbiotic shade made cause her crystal poisoning to resume.
crystal poisoning; the name holds heavy meaning in her heart. the crystals of the lucent caverns that houses the starwood empire are powerful things. her exposure to their energy flares was not fortunate for what was at the time a young spiral; fractal experienced the phenomenon known as crystal poisoning. by the magic of the crystals fractal was given a second chance with the opportunity to leave the caverns and travel to the one place that might help stop the progress of her poisoning; pendulum.
one of the two monarch's own offspring had wound up part of the starwood empire; victoire. through her words she gave fractal the information that led to her saving grace; while a long trek was undertaken the spiral reached pendulum in time before her body turned fully to stone. minerva immediately issued orders for her to be exposed to the symbiotic shade and from then on fractal became both a member of pendulum and a strange entity that crossed the threshholds of living minerals, the shade, and dragonhood. it was not the type of life fractal envisioned for herself when she initially came of age but it became a life she grew to accept.
pendulum is her strange but tantalizing home. within its borders lies dragons of all shapes and sizes. entities beyond comprehension and shade that dance and entice her into the shadows greet her warmly. and when time is right and things fall into place fractal is given the opportunity to explore the local lands with the company of her girlfriend prisma; the very own daughter of minerva and delightfully ambitious. the two are deeply enthralled and in love with one another and have been close companions since fractal first stepped into pendulum.
fractal misses home. but it is peaceful in pendulum; she enjoys her new-found freedoms.
fractal got unintentionally deemed arcane representative due to the fact initially many members of pendulum thought she actually was an arcane dragon who could use magic and knew about the starfall isles. such is not the case. fractal knows nothing beyond her homeclan, pendulum, some information pertaining to local light territory, and rocks--lots and lots of rocks. her magic is best described as sometimes being able to light a match that is actually meant to be a beacon to light up dark areas. in other words--she knows very little despite her supposed inhibition to magic. who needs magic when you got rocks?
while useless as a guide for anything arcane related fractal is highly experienced in mining precious stones and identifying them. she loves rocks beyond belief and is known to pester (UNNAMED ROCK ELEMENTAL) for information on the earth, soil, and different terrains. she will often stir up a frenzy of rambles of her going on and on about how shiny rocks are and how some are more valuable than others and how some rocks like DIAMONDS are GOOD AND STRONG AND SHARPER THAN OTHER ROCKS. on occasion fractal becomes so overwhelmed with her own words she ties herself into knots in excitement and requires prisma's or another dragon's help getting untangled.
the spiral's life in lucent caverns prior to coming to pendulum have greatly impacted her religiously. despite inherently arcane heritage fractal has no attachment to any deity (nor interest in becoming attached to them) and instead speaks of a religious entity in her life as relative to the crystals of her homeclan. she believes them to be holy or divine in some way and prays to them if times are dire. she will bless others in their name and sees nothing wrong calling upon them for guidance.
being so far away from home leaves its mark on fractal. she misses her siblings and her parents-all four of them, blood-related or not is irrelevant to the fact she considers junho, soyu, eunbyul, and cantabile her parents-badly. part of her also yearns to see the crystals of the caverns first-hand; a fact that sometimes leaves reason to worry as minerva has to explain to her time and time again her crystal poisoning may overwhelm the block the shade have put on it if fractal wanders too far from the clan grounds. fractal dreams of the caverns frequently and sometimes seeks out assistance in writing letters home in the scribe mirror or in her girlfriend prisma.
in the end nothing matters. prisma died. the world continued. she fell in love with sigil, but for what? she knows what the stones say. a terrible omen rests on the horizon for clan pendulum. when the order of sera noire comes to strike her down, there will be no one left to help her but the stones crumbling in her wake.
