Gaea grew up in a clan that lived among the Greatwyrm's Breach and Plague Flight border. The clan itself had lived in secrecy, since they had tried to conquer a rather dominant clan years ago.

Gaea was more robust and confident than all of her siblings. Her father, Trabuco, enforced strict rules on her at a young age, like his life as a soldier. As for Gaea's mother, Zomi... no one in the clan quite understood her besides Trabuco.

As a hatchling, Gaea dreamed about visiting the Wyrmwound. She always found the Scarred Wasteland as a unique place... perhaps to conduct a huge army that can march to the horizon at your command, as she was a soldier herself her entire life so far.

Most hatchlings in Gaea's birth clan were trained and brutally sacrificed to the Earthshaker, or at least hatchlings that were considered "average" in terms of abilities and skills. All of Trabuco and Zomi's children fell under this category, except Gaea. As she had grown up into a dragon, she was challenged even more and had become sick of it. She wanted to do something new. And it was that night she had escaped the giant ravine and visited the Scarred Wasteland. Gaea had made some allies, such as Puck and his clan of assassins.

However, she new she had to blend in as her clan lived in secret, exposing her entire clan to death. She was too close to the Dragonhome, so she had temporarily settled in Clan Nimbu. She started to change her behaviors and habits, because she never knew if someday her enemies or her own can would come around here and find out. She even had hatchlings with a fae named Liz. She eventually left to the Scarred Wasteland once she knew it was all clear, and left a note of lies back in Clan Nimbu explaining why she left.
