Many dangers lurk in the murky forest of the Wandering Mire, but they all pale in comparison to what stalks the heart of the isle. An ancient fae queen that punishes trespassers with monstrous cruelty.
Ancient Knife - - - - ▢ My feet are the trunks
She appears to be part of the mire itself with a body of twisted wood and blood of dark sap. Dark leaves grow from her branches, rustling with her every step. Thorny vines twist around her limbs, biting into her for grip. Lichen and fungi have found a home on her, and spiders weave webs among her crevices. Like the oldest trees at the center of the forest she towers over the new growth, reaching into the canopy above with ease. With glowing red eyes she surveys her kingdom, and dark fog pours out her mouth and the areas of her body that don't connect.

Her name has been lost to time, so the Lost and the Liminal simply refer to her as The Oak Mother in hushed tones. They've marked off the edges of her territory with stone posts along the paths. It's not advised to venture past them, but if you do the local warn you to be quick and stick to the shadows. They also mention that if at any point you don't hear the birds then you'd do best to hide or run.
