One day, the newly born twins were rolling about with Em in front of the tree, Vasalja watching from the edge of her roost, and Shadowbark returning from the hunt with a claw full of various bugs. Just then, a new dragon arrived at the entrance to the clan tree, with two guardian dragons acting as an armed escort, carrying the colors of the Gladekeeper herself. "Who is your leader?" the guardian on the right thundered. Unseen to most, the dragon in the middle, a nocturne, nudged the guardian hard. Roarke came out of the den calmly answering in turn with "I am. Who are you?". But before one of the escorts could answer, the nocturne spoke "I am sorry for their rude intrusion," he shot the escort an ugly look, "my name is Dresden. We come from the Colony of Growth, assistants of the Gladekeeper. I am here to join your clan."
