Suncatcher

Suncatcher was originally part of one of the Light clans, where he worked at a small mechanical repair shop. After an altercation with his employer about his hours and pay, he was told to leave his job.
When he returned to his clan with the news, he was forced to leave as well, as they couldn't afford to pay for the food of someone who didn't contribute to feeding the clan. After this, all he knew was that he needed to leave the Light territory, to avoid the rumors of the Emperor.
After wandering, he heard of a small clan in the Fire flight that usually let wanderers join their ranks.

After finding the Project, he was allowed to join, becoming an apprentice to the metalworker group.
While his skill in forging the metal is mediocre at best, he is great at assembling and designing complex multi-part projects. During his work, he met and befriended Yakone, who then introduced him to Stark, who he quickly became good friends with. He spends some of his free time working with him on any mechanical projects.

He was introduced to Ayra shortly after her first panic attack, and the following digging. Even though he has a nearly crippling fear of dark, enclosed spaces, he spends part of everyday outside of her hideout talking to her, trying to calm her down with stories of home, and stories of the Lightweaver. He has calmed her down some, not enough to stop her digging, but just enough that her pace has decreased, and she is willing to venture out of her hole to spend time with him, as long as they stay within viewing distance of her hole.

He is not very concerned with the Lightweaver, placing his faith in the stories that he heard growing up of her benevolence and grace. Choosing to believe that she is planning to fix the part of imperials that makes them into Emperors without killing the species.
