Tempest hails from the Southern Icefield, where the dragons are as rigid and cold as the winter's chill. Like others of his flight, he is not very emotional. He prefers to carefully preserve the world around him to be later analyzed and catalogued. For most of his long life, Tempest was a stud used solely for breeding more dragons that could serve the deities. His one surviving son, Vampyro, has fallen unfortunately to the same fate. This allowed for Tempest, however, to escape those confines by making himself useful in other ways. The battlefields of the Coliseum are no place for the weak of heart. Tempest witnessed the end of friends and foes alike, but survived through his meditative and frigid ways. But as his strength grew, he was finally valued both by himself and others for more than his breeding abilities. Upon arriving in Cynefin, Tempest found a community and system unlike one he had ever encountered before. Unsurprisingly, he found his place on the battlefield. But he also discovered worth in a place he had never expected it to be - two Wildclaws named Aloy and Noctus. The pair were already nesting, awaiting the hatching of two eggs, when Tempest joined the clan. He was enamored by Aloy's bright wings and sharp wits, especially next to Noctus' quiet temperament and appearance. One fateful day, when Tempest was assigned to Aloy's hunting group, the trajectory of his life seemed to change. Aloy shot one teasing remark after wily joke at Tempest after another and actually managed to get the icehearted Coatl to crack a smile at him. They began hanging out outside of their clan duties, Aloy teaching Tempest to hunt and Tempest teaching him to fight. Tempest would never have admitted it, but he was smitten with Aloy from the start. He simply pretended he wasn't, even when Aloy's jokes turned flirtatious. When Noctus and Aloy's nest hatched, bearing two healthy Wildclaws, he was unexpectedly taken with them as well. He, having had many children of his own over the years, aided Noctus and Aloy in raising them as first-time parents. This was how he ended up falling in love with Noctus too - the shy, sweet Wildclaw that was the other side of Aloy's coin. The three became inseparable, and Tempest found light where he had never expected it to be - in others.
