Osmanthus

Osmanthus fancies himself a shaman, though he isn't any good at magic, and in fact has no real idea what shamans do. However, this doesn't stop him from diagnosing clanmates with evil spirits and making pronouncements of dire futures that never come true. He tries to read the entrails of other dragons' kills in order to predict their fortunes, even though the sight of blood makes him rather ill. The others tolerate his eccentricities with amusement or resignation generally, though he has more than once been shooed off to let another dragon eat their lunch in peace.

His nestmate brother Gideon is his best buddy, and his closest relationship in the clan. The two spend most of their time together, and Oz will follow Gideon into trouble without a moment's hesitation. With his father and his older brother Hashi he is a little shy and unsure how to relate to them. He gets along well with his adopted brothers and sister, Ephah, Zethran and Primrose, and is almost as devoted to his mother as he is to Gideon.

Though he's a bit silly, he has a good heart. As the middle child in his family, and the smallest, he only wants to feel important, even now that they are all grown up.
