❧ Imladris Quiet | Solemn On the night of their hatching, the nest was attacked by the Beast clans. Glowstick fell in his attempt to protect the newly born hatchlings and the children were kidnapped by the enemy. Even as they were borne away, Imladris tried to escape from their captors. But during the struggle, his eyes were injured and from then on, he was blind.

Imladris and his sister were taken in by a clan that had distant relations to Nyx. Because of the trauma the two hatchlings experienced and the chaotic situation back in their home clan, it was decided that the siblings would stay with their distant relatives until it was time for them to return. Imladris and his sister grew up without much trouble. However, Imladris always felt as if there was something not quite right with Palan from the moment their father's death. Something about the way how she sounded when they swept upon prey or the enemies triggered a foreboding feeling in him. But he always attributed it to the trauma they went through as younglings. Never did he see the crazed look in her eyes when she ripped the meat from the carcass of their meal. Never did he notice the signs of the Bloodlust, until it was too late. Things finally came to light when the watchers discovered a rotting carcass of a hatchling that had gone missing a few days ago in the clearing off their border. By the time the guards rushed back, a full blown slaughter had already taken place. Imladris stopped her with his own claws. Her crazed laughter echoing in the forest haunted his mind to the end of his days. Her blood staining his scales and skin as a mark of kinslaughter. The day after the massacre, the clan moved out of the Nature territory with its grieving members, unable to continue living in the land that had soaked up the blood of its kin. |
