"What are you."

Borduke's flat voice matched the stone expression of the dragoness, his hands reaching instinctively for the dagger strapped away under his shoulder.

"A visitor." She sounded off. Unworldly. Parts of her plumage were stripped away, revealing a changing, shimmering nebula. Her covered palm stretched towards him. "I mean no harm. I'm just looking for a place to stay."

Borduke glanced at her claws. Barely tangible.

"There's another, isn't there."

She chuckled, a low, clipped noise that scrapped against his ears. A second drake materialized beside her, seemingly made from the night seas and sky. His form twitched with a glimmer. Amber eyes met cyan, but the newcomer said nothing.

"Lordling," The torn Skydancer nodded her head. "He's no threat."
