“When you live for a strong purpose, then hard work isn’t an option, it’s a necessity.”
______ Castione started as a mercenary, wandering the lands in search of work and food. An aggressive, prideful dragon, she easily could take what she wanted, but instead offered her work many times in exchange for food and a place to stay. She moved between clans, never quite settling down, as many clans could not cooperate with her forgetful nature when she got too focused on one task. Quickly, as she was kicked from clan to clan, she learned to get aggressive, and would fight for her place within clans. This had negative consequence, and she was promptly sent on her way in all of them. ______ All but one. Upon wandering into The Shifting Expanse, she fell upon Boneworm clan terrain. Dragon scent washed over her as a large dragon approached, a large female ridgeback by the name of Essect. Essect, the General of Clan Boneworm, was quick to try and drive Castione off her territory, seeing the wildclaw as a potential threat. Using all her skills she had gained from wandering and mercenary work, Castione managed to put up a good fight, but was defeated when the fight came to an end. Looking up, the ridgeback towered over her, glaring down. But instead of striking a finishing blow, Essect helped her up. “My clan could use a warrior such as yourself. Why don’t you join us?” ______ Castione accepted, and was led back to the lair of Clan Boneworm. She was welcomed in, and given the position of clan lieutenant. Her loyalty to her new clan runs deep, and she would lay down her life for Essect, one of the only dragons who has come to appreciate her focus and dedication to a task, even if it occasionally comes with a bit of a memory lapse.
