If the clan once thought that Cloudchaser was the least reliable dragon in Carrion Canyon, it was because they had not yet met Defiance. Few imagined that the brave hatchling who had survived the dangerous lands of Shifting Expanse could become so dangerous and uncouth. But what is disappointment for some is the happiness of others and Cloudchaser saw potential in the young ridgeback and took him as an apprentice.
Defiance has adapted well to the "different" form of the other dragon's business. He didn't mind when his reputation became as dirty as the guardian's, since Drozia is the only one that matters to him and the rest would have to swallow their opinions, or buy his dubious goods.
