Daiyu

Name mean "blackened jade"

A long time ago, in the darkest parts of the Crystalspine Reaches, an experiment was begun. A handful of Arcane dragons had let their curiosity overtake them and darkness creep into their hearts. Observing quietly and asking question was no longer enough, strict and controlled observations must be done. These dark Mages began stealing eggs anyway they could then subjecting the eggs and newly born hatchlings to awful and rigorous experiments and controlled observations. A few of these mages decided that perhaps they could create a better, more efficient dragon with a little... engineering and thus the Circuit dragons were born. The fluid filling the circuits was an enhancer (kinda like Bane from Batman) to make these dragons bigger, stronger, tougher, and ultimately meaner than any before them.

Daiyu was stolen as an egg, circuits were immediately grafted onto the shell and filled with a purer form of the serum than had been used on Eira. The thin membrane of the circuits allowed the serum to seep slowly through the shell and be absorbed easily by the developing dragon inside. Once Daiyu hatched, they took tissue samples and began to craft new circuits for him developed from his own DNA. Within a few hours, the new circuits were formed and grafted under the top layer of Daiyu's skin, the circuits were then filled with a serum at the same ratio as the one that had been applied to him as an egg. Daiyu blacked out.When he awoke, he had undergone a week's worth of growth in a few hours and was bigger than any hatchling should be able to be.

As Daiyu continued to grow, the Shadelets increased the potency of his serum and observed him regularly. They had found a way to use his Light born DNA to their advantage, his very body becoming like a walking living solar panel. Because of Daiyu's unique way of gathering energy, he rarely eats and has no need for sleep though he is capable and does not dream. Daiyu's vision is exceptional both in light and darkness, his eyes and circuits seeming to glow at any given time.

Daiyu is a different type of Blank, Blank not in genes but in personality. Due to the heavy experimentation on Daiyu in his youth, the Tundra is more machine than dragon, processing everything only as information and knowledge. He has been chipped and released by the Shadelets into our world to walk among the other dragons though frequently returning to the caves for more experimentation and to report whatever he had learned in his absence. Daiyu does not feel, sympathize, or empathize with any living thing nor does he understand or express extreme emotions.

Daiyu knows nothing of his heritage or that he even comes from the Light flight. He believes the Shadelets took him in when he was abandoned as a b@st@rd egg bred by the Light deity with an underling. The only dragon who he is in contact with regularly is Eira and though her strong emotions and connections with a world she has not seen puzzles him, he likes to listen to her talk and watch her face as he tells her about the outside world.
