Leviticus was a regular at this point. Ascendance knew exactly which potions to pull out even before he walked through the door.

“You never learn, do you?”

He could practically hear Leviticus smirk from behind him. “Nope! Look, it isn’t that bad this time around. Just a scratch.”

Ascendance turned towards the armor-clad Skydancer, who was staring at him intently. His front right leg was slightly raised, showing a deep red wound in the area of leather skin between his breastplate and his gauntlet.

“For the love of the Gladekeeper, that’s not just a scratch!!” Ascendance rushed over, green potion in hand, and brought some soft leaves along to act as padding. “It can get infected, for one thing, and infections left untreated could kill you, Levi, why can’t you get it through your head that you’re putting yourself in dan -“

He was interrupted by a chuckle. Ascendance perked up, keeping his claws working on treating the wound. “What.”

Leviticus’s head tilted, but his gaze never faltered.

“You’re cute when you’re worried.”
