Tania Dreamshadow

Hatchling Teacher

Tania is a dragon who, after a long stint dealing with Beast Clans, came to An Tir to relax and enjoy her remaining years in relative peace. Her past haunts her and often turns her sleep into nightmares. Other dragons near her den often heard her calling out in her sleep. Only one dared to enter her home and wake her. At first, he said it was because she kept him up, and while it was true, (Name) knew first hand what it felt like to not want to sleep for fear of what would come.
Queen Elsa received word of how difficult life continued to be for Tania. She wondered without purpose during the day and avoided sleep as much as she could at night. Deciding to give Tania a job in the hopes it would give her mind something to focus on; the Queen told Tania she would be helping the ageing teacher of the clan. At first, Tania hated it. The hatchlings swarmed around every day demanding all sorts of things and the dragon she worked for was strict and set in her ways. It also served as a constant reminder that Tania had no family of her own. Tania always wanted to find a mate and raise a family, but it never happened, and the longer she lived without him, the more the dream slipped away. However, by the time the old dragon passed away, Tania had begun to love her charges and decided to take the full position. Though life hadn’t gone as she had planned, Tania had the family she wanted. These would be her children, and she would love and teach them everything she could.
It took a long time for Tania and (name) to realise they were falling in love. It took even longer for the two to admit it to each other. During that time, they spent time in each other's den and helped each other through the night. Tania was shocked when the doctor informed her she was going to have a clutch of her own, believing herself too old to have healthy hatchlings.
Since that first clutch, Tania and (Name) have had a few more clutches. Some of their children have flown the nest to find their place in the wide world of Sornieth, while others have stayed close to home. All of them felt fully loved and supported by their parents and learned a great many things from their mother.
