He was among the few chosen few to have their faces plastered liberally across the screens of Nova Variatis. The common pedestrian would look in near revelry when he passed them, practically some form of god to their eyes. He was the one who brought them news, entertainment, a sense of hope. He was the face of the future.

He lived at the height of luxury, in the Cloud Nine District - the section where most celebrates and chosen figureheads spent their comfortable lives, unbothered by common folk and the now-defunct paparazzi. Now that the more famous folk had been made quite untouchable, there was no need for drama news casts and the like. In fact, it was hardly tolerated at all.

Many times, Aesthetic wondered if the city council was anywhere near as good as they claimed to be. But did it really matter? The system worked, didn't it? And he got most everything he ever wanted.. so why question anything? Though, the tedium would get to him, occasionally.
Just smile, sit back, and give the people a show they'll never forget.
