Biography
ZAEN
| Clan Leader | Seeker of Knowledge |
You can either see yourself as a wave in the ocean or you can see yourself as the ocean.
~Oprah Winfrey
”The eyes are the window to the soul.”
Zaen turned back towards Kotone, a fire-colored tundra that he was proud to call his mate. They had been together through thick and thin, through differences and challenges and obstacles that no dragon could overcome alone.
This problem, however, was special. The more he looked into her eyes, Zaen knew what had to be done.
“But they are capable of deceit. Lies. Betrayal.” He spoke softly. “My eyes are lying to you now. What you see here, none of it is right.”
Kotone’s smile saddened, her nose scrunching up as the salty sea’s air hit against them both.
“Follow your heart then, don’t use your eyes. I hope it takes you somewhere happier.”
Zaen could feel it then, the tug of the ocean behind him, stronger than ever. But why was it strengthened now?
Because the ones tying him here, with Kotone...they had snapped.
“I’ll miss you.”
Kotone didn’t give Zaen the pleasure of hearing a goodbye.
Zaen turned back to the ocean's calming waves, the ever changing tide that was the basis of all life.
He leapt into the blue expanse and never looked back.
