Celica

"Using magic on the dead isn't that bad, right Arty?"

Celica is one of the few dragons in CrestHaven that had been born into the clan. Her mother, Anstix, wished to leave something behind to prove she had existed so with much persistence the mirror convinced a Necromancer tundra by the name of Rio to host a nest with her. She promised he didn't have to do anything with the hatchlings, as her brother Muneca had promised to take them all in, no matter how many. Still reluctant, Rio agreed. Thus, Celica and her brothers were born.

One day, while Celica had been playing with her brothers and the other hatchlings, she accidently proved something that the other dragons had feared slightly; Necromancy was hereditary. She unwittingly raised a strange spirit from the dead. Bones floated in it's light purple and pink wispy body. It just hung in the air, unmoving but the other hatchlings were all clearly frightened of it. Celica found it rather amusing and poked at its bones. The skull which served as this aura's head, nipped at her toe and thus was now hers to command through the use of blood magic. Belnan, the Seer, came and took the hatchling away, with the spirit following behind the two. Within a day, the father she had never met came and whisked her and her familiar away to his hut on the outskirts of the clan's territory.

There, Celica learned how to better harness her dark magic and gained better control over her spirit, what her father told her was an Otherworldly Aura. Celica just called it Arty. The new necromancer spent her childhood learning everything her father had to teach her. Through these teachings Celica learned how truly dangerous her magic actually is and became determined to never use it unless the situation called for it. Rio wasn't pleased with her decision as he believed Necromancy to be the most pure form of magic there was. While he didn't see Celica as a father would see his child, he did come to tolerate her presence and see her as his student.

So when Celica asked if she could return to the clan and see if her brothers still remained, Rio had forbidden it. He had stalled her for sometime by saying she did not have full control over her powers yet and could end up injuring the brothers she so dearly wished to see. But the little tundra eventually figured out that her father's only interest was seeing in how far she could go; how powerful she could become. Furious that he had only been using her to further his own practices and abilities, Celica left in a huff. With the help of Arty, she had been able to make it back to CrestHaven within half a day, only getting lost twice. She discovered her brother Keil had moved on to another clan but both Winterberry and Antsy remained and both were ecstatic to see their sister once again.

As the three were enjoying their reunion, Rio appeared and ordered Celica to come back with him. That she had no place amongst those who did not share her gift for the dead. Though both Antsy and Winterberry shrinked away from the dark tundra, Celica held her head high and she declared he would have to take her back kicking and screaming. Furious at her rebellion, Rio was all set to raise the Undead Legion he always told Rabble about when Celica beat him too it, of sorts. She raised four more Otherworldly Auras, all slightly smaller than Arty, but still impressive. She did not form a blood spell with them as she had accidently did with Arty, but they would still listen to her commands thanks to her father's rigorous training.

Several other dragons had appeared to see what the commotion was about and nearly jumped out of their scales when they saw two Necromancers facing off. Seeing their scared faces, Celica quickly dispelled her Auras and agreed to go back to the hut, for now. The last thing she wanted was for her home clan to become fearful of her.

Though she still lives with Rio and continues to practice magic, Celica often goes to visit her brothers and on some very rare occasions, they visit her. She helps out the clan by giving them the materials she collected that couldn't be used by her father. The tundra decided that before she moves back into her clan, she wants to at least not be feared by them and show that necromancy isn't as bad as all have been led to believe.
