Ambrose entered the clan together with his mate Lacuna, whose side he never leaves. He a calm, polite individual and assists his mate in her work. While outsiders seeking Lacuna's help might feel uneasy around the bandage-clad spiral, nobody inside the clan bats as much as an eye at his habit to cover himself like a mummy.

Only Lacuna and Galaad know Ambrose's deepest secret. The Spiral is an unnatural being, created by science. He grew up without the love of a family, knowing nothing but the face of his creator and the experiments performed on him. When Lacuna and Galaad found him after his master's untimely demise, the spiral barely knew how to speak.
