 BIOGRAPHY XXXSapphilia is a rational, logical dragon with a passion for astronomy. She is the Head Astronomer at the Calyx Coven's Observatory, which not only houses a large telescope but also acts as the Coven's museum and has a collection of artifacts from the Coven's past. Sapphilia enjoys telling stories of the Coven's history, probably a little too much sometimes. She's been known to actually follow visiting dragons out of the Observatory, chatting away about one event or another that happened during the Coven's history. When it comes to enlightening others about the Coven's history, Sapphilia can't take a hint when to stop talking. XXXThere is a not a single Astronomy book in the Coven Library's collection that Sapphilia hasn't read. She wishes to get her claws on more Astronomy books, so she is constantly in the Library bothering the Librarians about whether or not they can transfer in more books from other Clan libraries. There have been a few times where she has butted heads with the Head Librarian, Cynnuala, for coming into the Library too often and being a nuisance. But Sapphilia is stubborn and when she wants something, she won't stop at anything to get it. XXXIf there is one thing this Coatl cannot stand, it is astrology. She protests against her colleague, Rune, giving out fortunes to Observatory guests. Sapphilia sees Rune's "fortunes" as pointless, as the Tundra cannot possibly know the future based off the positions of the stars and planets. Despite Sapphilia's protests and many examples of why astrology is fake and useless, Rune continues to give out her fortunes to Observatory guests. The two have come to an unspoken agreement that Sapphilia will ignore the fact Rune gives out silly fortune tellings, as long as she does them when Sapphilia isn't around to see. XXXSapphilia prefers night time over morning or day, as the stars are out, and she can observe them in all their glory. She actually met her Familiar, an Ultimate Buttersnake named Innova, during one of her nightly star gazing sessions. In the dark, Sapphilia almost didn't see the Buttersnake lying in the grass and nearly stepped on her. After many apologizes, Sapphilia told Innova that she wasn't watching where she was going because she was looking at the stars. She began to point out some of the constellations in the sky to the Buttersnake, who seemed absolutely fascinated. The two have been friends ever since, and Sapphilia even has a collection of Innova's brightly colored molted skins on display at the Observatory. |
