Nukharon

The stonesmith worked for days, weeks, years. She lovingly shaped the obsidian mountain, carving out a massive imperial dragon. The obsidian mountain was old, maybe even as old as dragonkind, but she would breathe new life into it. The statue was huge, with marbling along its pitch black side and wings. Anyone who saw it half expected it to turn towards them and speak. That was, in fact, the goal. The sculptor had also carved massive runes along its flank. Her work was almost complete, but she had one thing left to do; the face. Unfortunately, she underestimated the speed at which the runes would activate. As she began carving out the details of the behemoth's face, the runes began glowing a sickly green. The stone dragon awakened. As she lifted up her scalpel for another stroke, the newly alive golem opened his eyes. The sculptor's work could never be finished now. Ashamed, he hid his face under a cowl. He felt cursed to wander the clans until he found someone like him. Finally, the stone dragon came across another one of his kind; Vagolo, his mate and closest friend.
