If it weren't for the turbulence of the wind which crashed into the stone cold buildings, then the place whose name had been lost would've ranked one of the most silent places left standing in the world - if there even was one beyond those walls.

The material the wind blew into the city made it seem as if nothing was really out there beyond the tangled mess of roads. Sand, metal, unidentifiable large hunks. All of it blew into the buildings, and then out again. There wasn't ever anything new, besides the black amorphous material that crept in the ditches and alleyways before it fell off those roads, never to be seen again in the rippling sand and poles.

Indeed, it seemed like all life in the world vanished. The buildings themselves were struggling to stand, so what life could also be standing along with them? Well, at least in the southern part of the city, the ones standing with the buildings were 2 siblings, and stubborn they were, to be living along the wind.

They were a pair which fed each others oddities, and together they could stand stronger than any of those boring buildings. They both had tight fitted clothing, mostly thrown together items they found while running between structures. They both adorned masks, though of course the older one broke theirs, so they had to use the other as a physical body blocker of the wind. They carried light, as there wasn't much left in the city to carry anyways.

As ambitious.. and stubborn.. those two were, they'd never been out of the southern reaches, or anywhere near the twisted roads. That is. Until the younger one got bored, and dragged their older sibling along as they darted to new parts of the stone cold city. Maybe there'd be something new to see, maybe something to eat, or something to run very far away from. Who knew, they didn't, and thats why they were there.
