Mother of Calypso
She is an older dragon who is very mistrustful. She has patches of large plate-like scales on her body and eyes that induce terror. Her breath is a disruptive wave of sound and can disorient most hearing dragons but only produces an irritating sensation in deaf ones.
Her knowledge of draconic history and culture is superb due to the books she's read. Her hoard is huge and consists almost entirely of valuable books, most are the very first books off the line from different series printed through her own company.
Very tired of being a popular figure, Dirgesight can be quite snappy at times and has no patience for paparazzi and most reporters. Surprisingly little about her is in the public eye simply because it is so hard to get anything substantial from her without bribing her with well-planned gifts, although insults and sarcasm are traded much more freely. Anyone looking to get close really needs to know how to manipulate testy people.
Her relationship with her children is neutral, not very strained although she could be a little less distant. She does not dislike them, her mind just gets tired quickly and she cannot bring herself to chat for long. They like her because they get to take her invitations to parties they wouldn't normally go to since she dislikes the atmosphere of nobility balls. She secretly sneaks out to smoky old bars in the sky-cities instead.
