KORTU Scout Apprentice Mate of Aelia Deceptive | Secretive Permanent 
Kortu's story begins (for once in this clan) in the wilds of the Tangled Woods. The Guardian - while not exactly fitting the colour scheme of the shadow domain - thrived in the prickly Foxfire Bramble. As a hatchling, Kortu took the shadow values to heart; secrets, and deceptive appearances being what the Guardian knows best. |

Kortu's birth clan was no stranger to scouting, or spying, or sneaking, or - well, being a shadow dragon through and through. He grew up in the trade proudly and enthusiastically. But, word had spread through the Shadowbinder's realm like rot on wet, dead wood (or like gossip is wont to do in a land of mischievous dragons). There were whispers, rumours, of an ice dragon in a shadow clan that could creep up right behind you without a dragon sensing so much as a shift in the leaves that cover the ground. A dragon so dark in colour, so fitting for the woods that the foxes live in, that he could walk right into the Forum itself and not be noticed. So - what was Kortu to do but go and seek out this dragon to be his master?
Thankfully, politely, Feanor seemed to ignore Kortu's rather uh, bright colouring, ("Would you not consider moving to a nature clan?," his former instructors had carefully suggested; Kortu only had ever had a snarl in response. Might have been self preservation Feanor ignored his genetics). Now, Kortu can be found doggedly following Feanor's every move, every word - perhaps too closely, if you ask the Coatl. Otherwise, the Guardian enjoys watching his mate tend to her plants, or eagerly debating prank tactics with Alaetae. He enjoys birds for their trainable value, and glass baubles. |
