Once being the runt of the clutch, Korj has risen above where she started to leader of this lair. She certainly doesn't mind throwing her weight around and showing off. Korj enjoys eating, sleeping and making sarcastic comments. She would rather sleep than do work though if challenged she will fight without a second thought. She enjoys a good fight and has respect for those who don't back down.

Korj was always teased when she was young, it just seemed she stopped growing. She hated it, wanting to be the largest dragon who could rule of kingdoms and make them shake with fear. It never happened and Korj grew bitter and aggressive. Of course, this didn't last.

Korj started to terrorize beastclan tribes. She set their homes on fire, wanting them to fear her. She wore a wolf cape so she wouldn't look like a natural dragon to them, instead seeming something else, a grey and red blur that brought destruction. She earned the nickname "Red Death", but the results were not positive. A bounty was taken out on dragons near her as revenge and with it came traps. One dragon caught in these traps was a silver nocturne. Korj watched as he was dragged to a camp, she knew if she didn't help he'd be killed for what she did. Setting the camp on fire likely helped nothing. But she freed the other and secretly followed him to where he set up camp.

She teased him for getting caught in such an obvious trap, of course it was obvious to her. She stayed with the strange nocturne, at first annoyed about how positive he was, and how much he loved to fight for what was right. How much he wanted to protect others. He said he saw it in her too, said it was why he saved her. Korj laughed it off, calling him a bonehead for it. But, she stayed awake all night thinking about it. Was he right?

In some way he must have been because Korj traveled with him. Korj gave Dereth a wolf cape like hers when he started to get cold and said it suited him. They felt more like a small pack than a clan. Then they met Kreanak, and old dragon who let them stay. They made friends with his clan and couldn't bring themselves to leave. Kreanak must have seen something in Korj because he made her the leader after a few months.

Korj is in no way a bad leader, lazy maybe, but there is a side of her that cares very much for her clan. She would do anything to keep them safe. Of course being lazy hasn't made her the most popular leader. She's had fights with Arcath and with Judge. Most seem to understand that Dereth is the more diplomatic of the two. Korj really is more the tiny menacing muscle of a leader.

Korj felt less bitter about the world, though still aggressive and sarcastic she is much happier now than she was as the Red Death. There is no doubt that she loves Dereth, after all she agreed to his Tavern idea, even though he's a boneheaded idiot.

"Just because everything is on fire doesn't mean it's automatically my fault. I mean, in this case I did start it, but why does everyone instantly assume I did it? A little doubt would be nice."
