I have spent the vast part of my life exploring all this world has to offer, and I've not even scratched the surface! I will tell you now that there are so many amazing sights to behold. The stories I could tell you could take days to retell.
In my youth, I would have told you that I would be spending my entire life letting the wind carry me from one point to another. I longed to be like the older drakes that traveled right up to that inevitable end. Alas, that innocent dream did not come to fruition. I have had set upon me an unmerciful desire to slow down. I dare say, to stop entirely. It's a weight upon my soul, one I have tried to shed for many years now. The more I try to deny it and keep going the more I feel my life is drained. Continuing my journey has become tedious, a chore that lost its joy a long time ago. Now, it's just exhausting.
To make matters worse, after finally accepting the fate I've been dealt, I've discovered that settling might not be as easy as I previously assumed. It appears that every clan I settle in, even for a short time, has a tendency to break apart. Sometimes violently. Lector says this had been happening since I started traveling. I had doubted his word, but then I returned to those previous clans I visited, and sure enough, every single one was gone. I assume I had not noticed this because the breakdown occurred either right before or after I left. My mind was always so focused on the next destination that I overlooked the distress of the host clan.
I do not understand why this happens, all I know now is that every clan I attempt to settle with eventually falls apart and I am sent off, following the wind again. It seems I am cursed to roam forevermore.
I'm so tired.
