Born on the day of the Great American Eclipse, he has yellow tip wings which it is said glow bright during an eclipse. This coatl is very much into studying science and is one of three dragons which is given credit for the invention of the box modem which was originally meant to be used as an interpreting device for communicating between dragon and familiar. Aside from a life of science, Solar also teaches classes at Alligator Clan University of Flight.




The box modem is a pyramid shape object which in normal mode usually displays an eye in the center.


At the ACUF, Eclipse teaches classes designed to make a dragon a healer. Each class has a required collesium level required to pass the class. The following classes and level requirements are as followed.



Healing 101. level 1-5
Healing 102. level 6-10
Spiritual healing 201. level 11-15
Spiritual healing 202. level. 16-20
Potion healing 300. level. 21-25

There are two main parts of a box modem. The first is the eye itself. Originally, the eye was made out of three layers which were called in inner core, main core and outer core. The inner core was always made of some kind of organic material from the dragon the box modem was being made for. the mid core was made of some kind of material that would protect the inner core and the outer core was made of some kind of metal which would keep the eye in the center of the pyramid object. Because the first box modems were Lightening Flight types it was believed this was done by electromagnetic energy, However, when other flight types were experimented, it was discovered that other types needed to be powered by other forms of energy and it was not necessary for the outer core to be made of some kind of conductor of electricity. Later models, on the other hand, were invented which more of the eye was made of organic material. Some models even use an actual eye that once belonged to some creature, but it the eye must be kept alive.

The other main part of the box modem is the base plates which form the pyramid. They consists of four pieces in the shape of an equilateral triangle. The first box modems were made of glass because the eye must be able to see through the base plates, but some clans have found ways to make these plates out of stone, metal and other material which would not be transparent. As long as there is a way the eye can see through the plates, the plate can be made of anything.

Once the eye is made and the base plates are cut, the final step is to assemble the pyramid. This is the part which gets really tricky and a lot depends on the skill of the dragon assembling the box modem. First of all, every base plate must be exactly the same shape and size. If one base plate is off by a small fraction, the pyramid will not properly assemble. Second, the eye must be in the exact center of the pyramid otherwise the energy will not give the eye a proper vision and can cause the box modem to malfunction or give scans of poor reception. Some models are hallow in the inside and they eye moves, but in standard mode, the eye must be in the center of the pyramid or the box modem will not work properly. Finally, the base plate must be affixed to form the pyramid. As usual, the way the plates are affixed depends on the dragon assembling the box modem. However, two things are necessary in each exterior corner of the pyramid. First there must be a magnetic which will channel the energy. Second, there must be a ruin stone of they flight type of the box. This is the part of the box that determines the flight type of the box.

Because box modems are custom made for the user, every box modem is different. However, every box modem has a standard mode which is when the eye is visible. Most box modems also have another common mode called the Flight mode. In Flight mode, the flight type of the box is displayed. This mode is commonly used when the box modem sleeps or recharges. Remember the way the box modem recharges depends on the flight type of the box modem.

Lightning Flight box- The Lightning Flight box is electrical and most of them require a USB connection to charge. They do not usually work under water, but some models are water proof and can get wet as long as they are not left in water that is too deep and the water pressure makes them leak.

Light Flight box- The Light Flight box tends to be the lightest flight model because it operates on solar power. Every box of this type has some type of solar panels. These panels tend to be located in the lock part of the box.. They usually glow a yellowish color when fully charged. The Light Flight box usually does not function very good at night, but some models can hold a charge better than others.

Plague Flight box- It is said the Plague Flight gets its strength from other flights weakness. The Plague Flight box has been known to grow mold or fungus on it once touched by a dragon of another flight and some non Plague Flight boxes have been known to grow mold if used by a Plague dragon. The Plague Flight box gets its power from the blood of beast clans.

Ice Flight box- The Ice Flight box cannot operate in warm weather. They usually malfunction in exposed places above 40-50 degrees F or 5-10 degrees C but more expensive models can withstand warmer temperatures. The Ice Flight box is powered by cold weather. The best way to recharge an Ice Flight box is to put it in the freezer.

Water Flight box- The Water Flight box is operated by salt water. In order for it to function it must be filled with salt water and when it is dry inside, the box must be refilled. Brackish water may also be used, but it is not recommended because it does to give it as much power. Fresh water will ruin it.
