Biography
In Norse mythology, the sky wolves Hati and Skoll chase the sun and the moon endlessly, waiting for Ragnarok, when they can finally swallow their prey and plunge the earth into darkness.
Ragnarok brings the final destruction of many gods and humankind. After ragnarok the world will resurface from its flooded state anew and fertile. A few surviving gods will return and the world will be repopulated by the only two surviving humans.
It's believed that the Vikings thought of eclipses as near misses at Ragnarok, with Hati and Skoll nearly capturing their prey, the sun and the moon.
Ragnarok, this dragon, was born during a total solar eclipse that NornVerdandi was able to witness with her family. Luckily the solar eclipse that occurred on August 21, 2017 did not bring about ragnarok.
