B I O G R A P H Y
Vampires are curious creatures. Dragons are curious creatures. A Vampire Dragon is curious squared. A quiet soul, his current self thoroughly enjoys books and writing poetr— and it’s no surprise his favourite tales are of creatures like him, Dracula, or Frankenstein, for example. Oh, and this is just daytime work, alongside sleeping. At night, this natural killer blossoms, as the gory books are replaced by gore itself. Like Lorcan, hunting is a speciality, as a massive but still silent stalker, the poison of his fangs, once your marked as a target, it's hard to get away. But he's never harmed a bat, and keeps them as pets, the only hint of love he has ever displayed, other than his friendship with Lorcan. He keeps to himself mainly, out of everyone's way, and is quite satisfied with that. Edouard embraced his community and home—and they all embraced him, despite being mixed dragon and vampire. So when he was forced to part, it was for a most unusual reason that he had to leave—financial problems. It seems the family had ended up in debt and were going to pay...with Edouard and his sister. Ignorant, innocent, the two had no idea of outside views on mixed breeds, especially the very dodgy combo with vampires. His new clan who received them were repulsed by the two. In utter confusion, the siblings ended up as their tools. Their dignity lost, gone with the dust, any sort of free will thrown away, life steadily became worse. After Edouard went out to get food, only to return bloody and injured, his sister decided enough was enough. They were going to escape. Thankfully, in those years they had made one Ally—called Alley of all things. Leaving was a risk they were willing to take, if it meant getting away from that hell hole. Their plan was executed messily, but was successful. Done in broad daylight, Alley tricked her father into cutting a hole in the magic boundaries of the clan, showing him a study about magical boundaries stifling air ventilation, while Edouard and his sister hid under the invisibility cloak. However they were still detected, and ended up having to scramble, as Alley dragged her furious father away. But Alley was caught, so in her anger at the vampigons, she broke all contact with them, leaving them abandoned in the wild world. Being magical creatures, they felt a massive mystical pull towards some forest. With nowhere else to go, they began the long journey. Fatigue and hunger struck them, but they still made it—to discover the source of the magic was dragon-eating faeries. The defenceless young kids could do nothing, and the two that only had each other were now ripped apart. Days that felt like months were spent in his little cage, having things shouted at him in a language he didn't understand. He couldn't believe it when he saw an actual dragon. Though based on his knowledge of Harry Potter, he was less pleased when he realised it was Snape. His face was grim as he relayed his news. Edouard screamed. It hurt like nothing else had. He wanted to kill them. It couldn't be true! They hadn't eaten her! They can't have... It couldn't be true. 'Go away!' The tears started to come. He wanted to rip these faeries apart. They ate his sister. The only person who cared for him! Horrid, foul loathsome little creatures! He was going to destroy them...when he had the energy. His worked up screaming had drained his weakened body, and with the scratchy sob, he fell to the floor. Snape grabbed the frantic boy and dragged him back to his clan, where he was deposited in the better care of Narcissa Malfoy, who actually nursed him into calmness. When he finally felt a little better, he was moved to the roaming dragons's section to settle in, and thankfully few gave him trouble for being part vampire—partly because he is one of the few nocturnal dergs, but he was satisfied. He remains here to this day, guided by the ghost of his sister. |
