Леди Несмикс всегда знала, что в один прекрасный день ее долгом и честью будет основать новый Клан. Нужно было только дождаться своего звездного часа, а терпения ей было не занимать. И вот, когда наступил долгожданный момент, все уже было подготовлено и распланировано — а закончилось катастрофой.

Аридан, выбранный Несмикс в супруги, погиб во время путешествия к новой территории — в Кричащей Чащобе его растерзала пара голодных Когтей. Несмикс получила тяжелые повреждения и бежала. Следующие несколько недель она зализывала раны, боясь высунуть нос из какой-то полуобвалившейся пещеры, и лишь появление Ксерикса спасло ее от голодной смерти.

Этот могучий Гвардеец, неожиданно для них обоих, обнаружил в ней свое призвание. Он решил защищать Несмикс и помочь ей воплотить давнюю мечту — собрать собственный Клан. Их отношения были делом времени, но быстро стало ясно, что идеальной парой их не назвать — Несмикс никогда не забудет Аридана, а сам Ксерикс в попытках оберегать ее очень часто перегибает палку, и, к тому же, он пользуется гораздо большим уважением и авторитетом, заставляя Несмикс завидовать.

Если честно, она и сама не знает, чего хотела бы от этих отношений, но одно очевидно — Ксерикс нужен ей и ее Клану, и поэтому как бы сильно они ни ссорились, как бы ни дрались, в конце они все равно приходят к компромиссу. Может быть, это и есть настоящая любовь?
