PERSONALITY Most in Castle Ayelid know Corinne as a light-hearted faerie. He’s absolutely geeky about learning new battle techniques and always carries around a small journal to write down new ideas. Other faeries come to him for excuses to procrastinate, laughter, and kind words. But Corinne doesn’t extend his cheeriness to non-faeries - mortal dragons know him as stern and aloof. APPEARANCE It’s a rare day that Corinne doesn’t have some bandaged wound or another. His eyes constantly sparkle with mirth and he moves gracefully, ever so comfortable with his lean body and the weight of his armor. Outside the castle, he wears a birdskull mask to hide his eyes and holds himself stiffly upright to cut a more imposing figure. |

BIOGRAPHY
Corinne’s magic is extremely weak by faerie standards. Ulawayn sensed that lack of power the moment he broke the shell of his egg. She gave him a few days to see if the magic would flower in him, then when it didn’t, tried to kill him. It was only by Lleros’ terrified intervention that Corinne lived. While his other two siblings were taught by the Queen-Mother herself, Corinne grew up under Lleros’ scarred wing. He learned everything he knows from his father - how to fight without magical aids, how to stay optimistic and calm even in the most difficult circumstances, even mundane things like reading and writing. But as Corinne aged, he became ever more uncomfortable with Ulawayn’s disdain. His goals shifted from teaching himself to pleasing the Queen-Mother. He became Castle Ayelid’s protector, a fierce fighter with no concern for mortal lives. He ventured from the safe walls of ice to hunt and brought back materials for Ulawayn’s pleasure. And, little by little, the frost of Ulawayn’s demeanor melted. By the time he met and enthralled Morgaine, Ulawayn had accepted him fully. Though Corinne has clawed his way into Ulawayn’s good graces, he still lives in fear of disappointing her. He remains Castle Ayelid’s shield, ready to fight and die to protect his siblings and Queen-Mother. |

 Morgaine is a fully trained and highly skilled battle cleric, taught to heal and fight with her magic from a ridiculously young age. She easily covers for Corinne's lack of magic, and protects him as any Guardian would their Charge. |
