Kyro, like all of Amdhain and Delphi's offspring, is part-dryad. He was brought into existence when his egg was hatched in one of the sacred glade pools of the deepest Gladeveins swamp in Oakheart territory, and imbued with the magics of that place. Everywhere he goes, nature bends to follow- his footsteps leave twisted vines and flourishing mosses where before there was barren earth, his breath when he dreams leaves tiny flickering marshlights dancing on the marsh mists around him. Kyro, though he looks foreboding and can easily sneak up on a dragon accidentally in the forest without making a sound- is actually the 'good' twin. His brother Athelas, pleasant enough in daylight, takes rather too much pleasure out of spooking the locals and terrorizing beastclans with his insubstantial gift of dryad earthwalking, when he takes on the form of the trees around him and can blend into shrubs in seconds, the roots curling around his toes and the branches enfolding him, so there is nothing left but a pair of glowing green eyes. And possibly, a grin. This is often the last thing that any rogue beastclan monster sees, before a shriek, abruptly cut off, pierces the night, and Kyro, miles away, turns over in his sleep, mumbling that Athelas should go back to sleep.
