Topaz is in charge of all trade and relations between the clan and the mining dragons of the Earth flight. She came to the clan looking for a new beginning, willing to lose her past, but not her heritage. She honours the knowledge she gained back in Dragonhome about the secrets of the earth beneath her feet, and those who are buried within it.

She keeps a collection of small stones tied to strings around her wings, each one of them - a memory. She may never step foot in Dragonhome again, but she won't forget what made her who she is.

Gaining an apprentice has stopped her from going sour from too much reminiscing about her past. Irari, an enthusiastic learner, a child of a mining clan, much like she had been a long time ago, has become her trusted helping hand in her work.

She sees herself in him, but even more than that, she sees bravery in the face of the new and unknown she herself does not possess, and that makes her keep pushing harder and harder.

With a new name to herself and a myriad of opportunities, Topaz keeps on.
