Before he came to the Lanternlight Clan, Lighthouse was a mith trainer: he worked with warriors from a nearby tribe of miths in order to teach them how best to defend themselves from hostile dragons. After all, insects - sentient or otherwise - have always fascinated him, and so a chance to work directly with miths and learn about their culture and society was a dream come true for him. Upon moving clans, however, he took up a new job as a researcher, using the knowledge he gained from his mith friends to study their evolution and relation to nonsentient insects.
