Rooter was adopted into the Lupine clan when he was just a baby. He has made a place for himself as one of the cornerstone dragons, especially since he is an expert on plants-- trees in particular. He knows the different kinds, he can easily tell when they are healthy or sick, he can even seemingly communicate with them. At the very least, if there is a new nest of ravens (which the Lupine family reveres) he'll be the first to know.

As such, he spends a lot of time meditating among the tall ancient trees that rest deep within the territory. He's nearly invisible in his stillness and natural camouflage.
