Antares was born in the Southern Icefield, and spent her days there practicing how to harness ice magic and learning how to use it. Like many Southern Icefield natives in the Amitola clan, Antares was brought under their wing after curiously following Zero after he wandered by her home. She still frequently drops back into her old home to check and make sure she hasn't forgotten anything, as well as simply to return to her home region and spend some time there.

Antares is quite focused on her magic practice most of the time, but for a Ridgeback, she is very scatterbrained and forgetful, with her train of thought multi-track drifting more often than not- it's not uncommon for her to completely lose track of where her brain is going in the middle of a sentence, or to forget an ingredient in a spell and completely mess it up.

Antares is an ice mage, using her spells mostly for the protection of the lair. She spends much of her time practicing her magic and it often seems like she's never going to get it down completely, but she's a determined soul and will never stop trying to get it right. She's got a huge crush on Senka.

She thinks it's terribly rude to "borrow" from other dragons, but she and Senka have a trove of spellbooks and trinkets that they borrow from each other on a regular basis. It's a bonding thing for them.
