Uh-oh, looks like this colourful goblin wandered a little too far from his home lair (309765, RJMac), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to his home lair, to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here, or to the hub if you don't want another dragon in return. This is not necessary, but he would be very grateful!

Aq wandered out of his home Plague clan and into the open world, ready to explore! He always has his trusty lucky hat on!

Aquila's first stop was a decent-sized Lightning clan. They welcomed him as he entered the cave all of the dragons made their home in, and a Luna Mith decided to show him around the clan's home. This was it; the first stop in the Ridgeback's long journey!
A few days later, just as Aquila was ready to leave, a pair of golden dragons handed him a pretty crystal as a memory of his stay.

During his stay in the Wind domain, a warrior Ridgeback caught Aq's eye. Taken by her strength and her shiny armor, he pursued her. She drove him away from the nest after that.

Aquila took a nice, long break in an Arcane clan that served as a resting point for travellers like himself. Shortly after leaving, he found himself accompanied by a very friendly traveling mother, who awed him with stories of the families and hatchlings she had left in other clans. As much as he enjoyed her company, they unfortunately parted ways when she chose to nest again in a Light clan. Though he was sad to leave her behind, he dearly hopes their paths will cross again in the future.

Eventually, a rather large Plague clan caught the Ridgeback's eye and he swooped down to see if he was welcome to stay. As he did so, however, he accidentally woke up a very grumpy dragon... Uh-oh, better leave fast!

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a huge metal structure sitting atop a wide expanse of space in the desert... As it turns out, it was the launchpad for a spaceport in the Shifting Expanse! The clan he met there was more than happy for a chance to teach someone all about their unique craft. He got to watch the preparation of a satellite which was still unnamed, but whose working name was the Tropical Storm Imager & Indexer 3, or TSII-3. (They didn't let him in the same room, of course, but they had plenty of windows in the lobby he could spy on it from.) Later, he ended up seduced by one of the clan's cosmonauts, WMAP. When the babies were hatched, the clan leader ended up scolding the two of them, because it could have jeapordized the health of one of their cosmonauts... Welp, time to go!

Aquila stayed with the Shadeborns' for quite a long time. He got very fascinated by their dedication towards their God, and he was very tempted to give the clan a nest as a gift. From what he could understand, that would be the greatest gift he could give them, and considering how friendly and kind they had been to him he certainly wanted to thank them. However during his stay the nesting grounds were always full and he felt that he couldn't stay for any longer. Early the next morning he left with the promise that if he ever came back, he'd make sure to offer their clan a hatchling or two.

Aquila found himself trudging through deep snow. He looked around and soon, an out-of-the-ordinary tree caught his attention; he was quite surprised to find such a healthy tree growing within the icy realm of The Southern Icefield. Aqiila ran towards the towering tree and there he was greeted by a clan, who happily provided him with food for throughout his stay. There were even some other travelers for him to visit with as well!

Quite suddenly, the Ridgeback found himself in the fiery and desolate Ashfall Wastes. He carefully traversed the volatile environment, tiptoeing around creeks of lava that danced across the land, scarring it and tearing up the charred landscape. After a while of wandering he became hopelessly lost... he soon fell ill with dehydration and collapsed from heat exhaustion.

Aquila woke up to a concerned Skydancer looking down on him. The unfamiliar dragon held a potion in one hand, and he noted that it was partially empty. "Oh good, you're alive, " the Skydancer said as he heaved a sigh of relief, "I was starting to think you had passed on."
The Ridgeback's mouth tasted of a strange mixture, almost chemical-like. He groaned, his head pounding with a ferocious headache. "What happened...?" He managed to mumble, the Skydancer looking back at him with a look of pity.
"I should be the one asking you that, one of our hunting groups found you almost dead out there. You would've boiled alive in that heat if they hadn't come across you," the Skydancer remarked, tapping his claws on the half-empty bottle of potion. 'He's probably another one of those traveling dragons with no idea of what he's getting himself into,' he thought cynically to himself as he handed the remains of the potion to the Ridgeback. "Drink this."
Aquila did as the dragon told him and downed the last of the potion, shuddering as the foul chemical taste stung his mouth and throat. The headache faded a bit, aiding him in thinking and speaking a little bit clearer. "The name's Echosound, by the way." The Skydancer said, taking the empty bottle from Aquila's claws.
"Well hi, Echosound, I'm Aquila! And may I ask what was in that bottle?" The sickly Ridgeback asked, still cringing a bit at the chemical taste.
"Oh, this--" Echosound said as he tapped the bottle, "it's nothing special, just a health potion that I watered down to be a bit less potent."
"Oh." Aquila stated simply. He was surprised he hadn't recognized the distinct taste of a health potion, but then again he'd only had to use them a few times before.
After a while of recovery, Aquila dared step foot outside of the healer's den, breathing in the cold air of the cavern. The place was absolutely glowing with excitement and fire themed decorations, all for the Flameforger's Festival. Of course, he spent the festival with the clan.
He chose to leave after the festival, due to a rising threat in the clan; there was a supposed beast lurking within the deepest caves, hiding in the murky black shadows.

A lonely feeling in the pit of his stomach brought Aquila back to a familiar clan, now situated in the Hewn City instead of their previous home in the Mirrorlight Promenade. He deeply missed Charity, the traveling mother he had shared a brief adventure with much earlier on in his journey, and wanted to return to the clan where their paths had diverged with the hopes of finding her again.
