ENDURING
Desert Phantom "These lands were not made habitable to your kind, mortal. Why do you still insist upon traversing them?" [Entry] Vual drifted into the scarred wasteland by fault. She was summoned by a clan somewhere in the shadow domain- Who desired her power and enlisted her has their warden. They offered her riches in exchange. As fate would see it- The shadow clan fell in desperate measures, to find themselves unable to provide her much more. She requested a substitute, that she would be allowed to dictate the clan and lead them to glory once more- They denied it, and so she remained- but had no desire to serve a clan who did not offer her anything of value in return. One night the clan was invaded- they begged for her savior, and Vual simply watched them burn. One of the mages cast a curse upon her in their dying breath, ensuring that she would have to remain in the mortal realm until the hex could be broken. While this bothered her, she overcame and endured the new way of existence by wandering in search of a clan who was powerful enough to release the curse. She found her way to Sick Reign, where the riches stored upon their hoards and organized culture perked her interest. As with any outsider appearing to the Sick Reign's territory, she was challenged and immediately proved she was no mortal dragon to be taken lightly. Vual was then brought before the council and it was decided she would be welcome to stay. Sick Reign's scholars and mages immediately got to researching how to undo a hex upon an immortal. After many seasons and knowledge conquests, it was finally successful and the bane was lifted. However, By this time, Vual had become accustomed to Sick Reign's culture and the ridged structure it provided. She decided to stay and serve the clan for as long as it remains a force in the scarred wasteland. Vual now stands as the overseer and sentry of a travel point between the main campgrounds and furthest outreach of Sick Reign's territory. She governs the construction and defense of the fort, while also providing assistance for ingoing and outgoing military excursions.
