LOTR nerd that I am, I'm inclined to be fond of any dragon named Smaug, but this boy definitely deserves the title of Smaug the Magnificent. The combination of his golden accent and his gold gembond against his crimson primary and secondary are striking and decadent. There's a reason that red and gold is such a classic color scheme, and that's because it makes everything it touches look expensive and beautiful. And gembond is thematically perfect for him in every way possible. I like the touches of burning orange in his talonclasp pendant and especially his magmatic pauldrons, hinting at the deep, primal fire within him. The wolf pelt is a neat touch, but I like it, especially the way it shapes his head a little longer and narrower, and gives him those long fangs for extra snarl. The crown is, if you'll excuse me, the crowning touch, perfect for him in both aesthetic and attitude.
