Learn well to take upon both light and dark, the flash and the shadow of his wings. With the sun, they merge into the ground and only the faint specks of their eyes can be seen, but take when the moon arrives, their mass will question your own definition of reality.

Any conflict with the dragon beholding the name Baerlythra is never properly documented, let alone statisized. Maybe this is because she only seeks one dragon, and wishes to fell them with the last of her breath, be it an Imperial’s or Emperor’s.

But even with the faded markings of the light, simply a stain on the bounds of the mother, none can place where she came from first. What did become of the dragon who grew at night, but faded in light?[

The Tundra who cleaves all he encounters, the Fae who reverses the system of size against their enemies only because of a long forgotten wish, the Nocturn who mimicks the afterlife, and then the Imperial who embodies vengeance for one sole being.

See them on their journey, all with a single purpose. Perhaps help them on their way, or step out of their way. Prevent the end they seek, or change it. it’s just a hatchlings story anyways, right?

The Gospell

____An Imperial with the element of Light surrounded by the appearance of a Shadow and the internal working of the Plaque, this is Baerlythra. Many don’t know their past, and despite the composure of a gentle giant, many dragons don’t wish to risk asking. Not even the leader of the group he travels with seems to know his past, and he’s always the talk among the Pearlcatchers whenever they do arrive to a clan with them present.

____Baerlythra has only one purpose, and that is to find a single dragon across all of Sorneith, and release the energy that created him in the first place. A confusing mix of 3 different flights, the quick answer to those who poke too deep is just a Light-born Imperial used to the Shadow’s of the Foxfire. But the story book doesn’t end there, for seemingly never been exposed to the other flights, they have no problem traversing their terrain and are commonly seen just wandering alone, without a guide in case they were to fall to the lands trickery from what they’re used to.

Tangled Wood

____Under the eternal cover of the Tangled Wood, this flight may be the worst place to meet Baerlythra for the first time, for the fact his sudden existence from the shadows no matter how illuminated the fungi make it has left some dragons unconscious from the shock of it. Luckly, that level of shock is rare, since this is the Shadow flight..

The Gospell

Wasteland

____Despite the disappearance of when the day appears, it seems daytime in the Scarred Wasteland does not count as day or night to Baerlythra, no, it is time to wander. He could be gone for days, possibly weeks without a single notice of his presence but an increasing in the number of Plague Mirrors in certain areas of the wasteland from where there used to be nothing, not even food for them to eat.

Shifting Expanse

____The other one place to not meet Baerlythra for the first, second, third, seventh, or twenty ninth time. No matter how long a dragon has been around him, being within earshot of him can leave the air stale around them. Still, nothing changes his behavior in this flight, besides having more incidents of breaking machinery.

When both Marten and Baerlythra are in the same area, it is rare to not overhear them passing along stories of each of the flights to each other, trying to outdo the last one told. None of them are for hatchlings though.

As with all dragons who are accounted for occasionally in the clan of Retrograde’s, they all have their own list of items they collect, or at least have had on them at some point. What Baerlythra collects is still a big mystery, and one no one’s really dying to find out.

As Imperials do, Baerlythra will eat anything, almost to the extent Buke does when it comes to the word ‘anything’. Buke may be able to eat things that are beyond the title as decayed, but Baerlythra seems to take toxic foods as a challenge rather than a warning.

Of course, out of everything Baerlythra is known to be sick by, that seems to do the trick most the time. But where he goes when he does succumb to the poisons he’s ingested is another thing to write down that no one knows.
