Born among the ice caverns of the Enclave clan, Lómendil was raised in a slightly sheltered manner due to her own slight mutation following that of her own parents. The almost ice-like gems that blossomed from sections of her scales and coated her wings were mesmerizing, even to herself when she caught a glimpse of her reflection in the ice. Though she was raised to be hardworking and to be part of the Enclave, there was a small longing of the young dragon to venture from her icy home and seek out her fortune elsewhere. From visitors to the Enclave she heard of a clan who'd once lived among the icy halls, a clan that was sought by Icewarden himself for abandoning their caverns to travel to the Windswept Plateau and betraying the silence of the echoing winds of winter. The stories of the clan were almost always fanciful, a clan that seemed to exist outside of time and in their own pocket dimension, and after a time the young one decided to stake her claim on the world and seek out the clan.
Her first attempt to leave the lands of ice were thrawted by a storm that seemed to swell in intensity when she attempted to leave. For a long moment she thought perhaps Icewarden had sent it to delay her leaving, but that was silly for he was truly too busy with a war among the other gods for territory that he couldn't be interested in her. A second attempt went more in her favor, the weather clear as she left. Though she was delayed several times, the young imperial pressed onward determined to find the clan that she'd equated to almost legend. The Windswept Plateau was a difficult land to traverse. The many twisting paths seemed to lead between multiple bamboo groves where various clans lived, some who had heard of the clan and others who had not. Still, she made her way to the edge of the Plateau that met the Sea. Finally, she found the clan, the Passus Canorous, who did truly exist outside of time it seemed. Though her role is undetermined as she searches for the right fit within the community, it's clear that she has been accepted within the clan. Already a mate has found her, a young tundra named Undómë who acts as a shaman within the clan who continues to encourage her to help with the hatchlings of the clan, despite their rarity.

Quote:
Glacial mesmers are quiet and hardworking. They live communally and have unusually strong bonds with each other. Nesting parents and hatchlings are looked after by dragons who are dedicated to serving the young of the new generation. The populations which live in the coldest regions use ice for everything, from building materials to tools. Their lairs are entirely constructed of ice that has been sculpted into fantastic spires and other shapes that take advantage of the crystalline structure of ice.
