He may look like a pretty boy, but Desmond just really loves bugs. He collects them for the clan and never hesitates to get down and dirty grubbin' for some... grubs. His bug collection takes up his entire den and he rarely gets visitors since most clan members are too worried they’ll accidentally squash some rare, invaluable beetle and in effect crush Desmond’s spirit as well. Even though he’s not afraid to get it dirty, Desmond is very proud of his iridescent scales and takes care to always look his best, especially in front of the other clan males. Most recently, he’s been especially flirty with Renoir, but he’s not sure if he’s ready to take their relationship to the next level. Normally full of confidence with his romantic partners, Desmond senses something deeper developing between him and Renoir that gives him pause. He’s not sure if he’s ready to be tied down to just one dragon for the rest of his life, and yet, he can’t deny that what he has with Renoir is different than anything he’s experienced before. Whenever Desmond has a difficult decision to make, he holes up in his den, preparing new specimens for his collection or meticulously maintaining the insects he’s already preserved.
